‘Red Umbrella in Monsoon’ Nail Art

This post is long overdue, to be precise 1 year! Last year, I decided to do monsoon nail art with a twist. I wanted to include the shape of the nail in the design. If you look closely, my nail is actually filed and shaped to look like an umbrella. Continue reading “‘Red Umbrella in Monsoon’ Nail Art”

Stripes Nail Art with Half Star Motif

Stripes Nail Art is one of the basic nail art designs that you must try at least once! In today’s mani, I have clubbed the stripes nail art with a half star motif on the accent nail. Let’s find out how?

First things first, choose a complementary color combination for the nail art. I have used Revlon Lush Green and L’Oreal Rebel Blue.

The green polish is for the base and blue one, being the darker shade, is used for stars and stripes.

How to do it?

Stripes Nail Art is best done using a scotch tape (unless you’re too good at drawing/painting straight lines using a brush). A scotch tape is of great help because it makes the whole process simple and neat while rendering perfect lines and shapes.

Step 1: Apply two coats of green polish.

Step 2: Take a piece of scotch tape and cut out various horizontal lines.

Step 3: Stick the tape lines (leaving gaps in between) on the green base.

Step 4: Apply blue nail polish on the exposed area.

Step 5: Quickly remove the tape with great care.

The half star motif on the accent nail is also done using scotch tape. It’s amazing how this simple tape turns out to be a cool nail art tool, isn’t it?

Stripes nail art works well for nail art pros and beginners alike. Why don’t you give it a try too?

The Beauty of Coral Pink

Coral Pink is one color that has stayed In-Trend all year round. This shade is somewhere between red and orange accented with pinkish hue. Even after being in vogue for quite some time, the pretty color has not yet lost its charm. It still pleases our eyes and warms our hearts with its beauty and freshness. Coral Pink, in every way, is a perfect spring color!

Perfect Spring Nails!

When it comes to nail art, you can experiment a lot with coral pink nail polish. The color works for girly designs and bold patterns alike. Some colors that best compliment  this trending color are teal, aqua, lime green and other similar hues. Apart from these colors, black, gold and silver, the all-time hits, work really well. My personal favorite is coral and silver

Coral pink is sometimes also referred to as peach, apricot, salmon or melon. I believe all piece of clothing, accessories, footwear look amazing with coral!

I am not really a pink-lover, but this peachy-coral pink is in my list of favorites. I have stocked up polishes of this color, only to make sure I never run out it this summer 😉

I also own a pair of coral pants…yes, I too think I’m totally in love with the beauty of this color!!

Black Matte Nails with Some Shimmer

We all adore shiny, glossy things. As per a psychological research, our love for glossiness is based on our basic desire for water. Thus, we always prefer shined up cars, glossy lips, gleamy shoes, diamonds, jewelries, and so on. But, I believe, there is just one big exception to this “shine theory”: Black Matte nails, of course!
